#DeadRum

We stole an idea

After 30 years in the islands, the proprietor of Skullduggery Café in Antigua, has the second great idea of his life. Dougy wants to bottle and sell a new rum: Skullduggery Rum.

+

from the days of old

With his accomplice, Micheal (Scrim) Stralkowski, Dougy pours over countless ancient scrolls, scouring them for a clue to the perfect container. They stumble across this from 1894 in The Book of Bottles.

+

we soon were obsessed

While Scrim is put to work creating the master skull, Dougy is charged with concocting the potion. He approaches Antigua Distillery with the idea of creating a rum with the classic Caribbean sailor of new and old in mind.

+

like pyrates for gold.

Scrim has always been fascinated by the art of bottle-making, so as a jeweller and master craftsman, now has the prefect excuse to try his hand.

+

As the rum mellowed

Meanwhile, at Antigua Distillery, famous for it's world class rums, Skullduggery's own is carefully blended and specially filtered to create a unique smoothness. All you need is a little ice, perfect for sippin!

+

the moulds were cast

Our collectable ceramic bottle, a beautiful work of art, was designed having in mind the challenge, adventure and the Skullduggery of the West Indies at the turn of the 18th century.

+

the skulls were fired

Unlike other Companies we have created a unique 18th century bottle with a skull incorporated into it instead of making a bottle which simply looks like a skull.

+

and branded last.

Once a bottle is filled and ready, the cork is burned with the Skullduggery Rum skull, giving them a truly authentic look and feel.

+

Thus, our rum is born.
